The launch of the second route
Moerdijk – Oslo – Larvik – Kristiansand meets market demand for more capacity between the continent and Norway.
- We are very proud to extend our services further, now offering even better frequency from the continent to Norway. High quality and predictable service will still be our main focus. With the arrival in Oslo Monday morning and Thursday morning, we feel confident we can move even more cargo from road to sea.
Managing Director Viasea Shipping, Morten Pettersen
Predictable arrivals and excellent quality are already synonymous with Viasea Shipping. Since the start-up in 2016 the shipping company has not missed one arrival day.
Viasea has two main targets;
- to offer the best sea freight alternative to road freight
- to be the most reliable shortsea service in the market
Sea freight has proven to be cost effective and more environmentally friendly as opposed to the traditional road freight.
Larvik port is experiencing an increase in activity, and will be a strategically important port to add to the schedule. Larvik port is Norway’s second largest port and gives Viasea extended geographical coverage.
