Viasea Announces Butterfly Service Port Call Change to Tilbury

Viasea Announces Butterfly Service Port Call Change to Tilbury

Published: 09. March 2026
Viasea Shipping will enhance its Butterfly Service from 22 March 2026 by replacing the London Thamesport call with Tilbury, improving operational efficiency and connectivity across its short sea network.
Viasea Shipping is pleased to announce an upcoming adjustment to its Butterfly Service designed to further enhance operational efficiency and strengthen connectivity across its short sea network.

Effective from 22 March 2026, the current port call at London Thamesport will be replaced by a call at Tilbury. This change forms part of Viasea’s ongoing commitment to optimise network performance, maintain reliable schedules, and provide improved service coverage for customers moving cargo across Northern Europe and the UK.

The revised Butterfly Service schedule will maintain the existing service frequency and rotation structure, ensuring continuity for customers while benefiting from improved operational efficiency at the new terminal location. Updated ETA and ETD timings have been incorporated into the schedule to reflect the change.

From the effective voyage onward, all import and export cargo previously routed via London Thamesport will be handled through Tilbury. Terminal handling procedures, gate opening hours, and documentation cut-off times will follow Tilbury terminal requirements.

Customers can view the updated service schedule on the Viasea website or obtain further details through their usual Viasea contact.

Viasea remains committed to delivering dependable short sea shipping solutions and supporting customers through smooth operational transitions. Our team is available to assist with any questions related to bookings, documentation, or operational procedures during this change.

Viasea thanks its customers and partners for their continued support and looks forward to serving cargo through Tilbury as part of the Butterfly Service network.
